News Coverage Shifts
· Updated daily
Over the last 30 days versus the prior 30 days, Partnership gained the most news coverage (+20.9pp of headlines) and Bank Stablecoins the most reduced (-14.9pp). This tracks share of news coverage — how often a topic appears in headlines — not the performance or health of any company or asset.
Which stablecoin topics are drawing more — or less — news coverage than they were in the prior period. Each topic's share of headlines in the selected window is compared with its share in the immediately preceding window of equal length; the bars show the change in percentage points. This measures news coverage and attention, not the performance, price or health of any company or asset — a topic receiving less coverage is not evidence that it is weakening.
Coverage Momentum vs the Prior Period
Top gainers (green) and decliners (red) by change in share of news coverage. Only topics with enough headlines to be meaningful are shown, so low-volume noise is excluded.
What this measures: the change in each topic's share of stablecoin news headlines between the selected window (last 15/30/60 days) and the immediately preceding window of equal length. Using share rather than raw counts normalises for overall swings in news volume between the two periods.
Volume floor: a topic only appears if it reached at least a minimum number of headlines in one of the two periods. This removes orphans — a topic going from zero to one headline is not reported as "surging."
What it is not: this is a coverage / attention metric. Less coverage of a topic does not mean the issuer, asset, or trend is declining — only that it appeared in fewer headlines. No causal or valuation meaning should be read into it.
